At 7:52 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, the Salt Lake City Fire Department responded to a report of a construction worker having suffered a seizure at 1020 Terrace Hills Drive.
When SLCFD crews arrived, they found the 37-year-old construction worker stranded on the scaffolding near the house under construction. The patient was conscious, but needed help getting down from the scaffolding.
SLCFD's heavy rescue team was called to the scene. Firefighters used ropes to lower the patient down in a litter from the scaffolding. Firefighters put the litter on a wheel designed to move patients over difficult terrain and brought the patient down a hill to a waiting ambulance. The patient was then transported to a local hospital.
